Last month the Lancelin Community Resource Centre (Lancelin CRC) held a Red Nose Day Gala Dinner to help raise funds for SIDS research. The event was an overwhelming success and marked the first time the Lancelin CRC community fund raising event was sold out.
With the large numbers of competing good causes, it is traditionally hard to create interest in community fund raising events, but the Gala Dinner worked wonders as the attendees were able to receive a 3-course sit-down meal with full restaurant service at a great price. They also received a complimentary glass of wine and after dinner mints, and were able to participate in a number of raffle draws.
