Following light winds and small swell off the coast of Western Australia’s town of Lancelin, the pressure is on as the world’s best windsurfers prepare to go head to head during the Lancelin Ocean Classic. Approximately 70 competitors will sail tomorrow in an attempt to out maneuver each other with aerials and radical wave sailing.
“Everyone’s here, the excitement is building and competitors are amped to get out on the water,” said event organizer Rob Goyen, who is also anticipating improved race-day weather conditions. “Competition will be fierce with last year’s winners back to contest their titles and some newcomers here to challenge their skills against the world’s best.”
