It is palatial with enough room to land a helicopter in the front yard and now Solitude in Lancelin is the most expensive holiday home to rent in WA.
With six bedrooms, six bathrooms, two lounge areas – one sunken – a heated beachfront pool, two decks and 180 degree views, the $5 million home has taken top spot, costing renters up to $18,000 a week.
Finished a week ago after 21 months, Solitude is the next instalment in Perth businessman Kym Illman’s Dream Holiday Home chain. He owns four equally extravagant houses on the Gold Coast in Queensland, where former Australian cricket star Shane Warne has stayed with his family.
